David’s Vision Made Real
The whole notion of the fund was Dave’s idea. While he was sick and battling Cancer, he quickly realized how lucky he was to have minimal financial stress and the emotional support from family and friends he needed at the ready. In the same breath, he realized that there were many people fighting a similar battle, but perhaps dealing with the family car in need of repairs, outstanding electricity or property tax bill, or something as trivial as having enough money to pay for a month long hospital parking pass.
He expressed to many of us his thoughts and was empathetic towards the concerns of others. He was adamant that once he was cured and well enough, he wanted to start a fund that would help families and people struggling with these types of burdens, so that their focus could be where it should be—on getting healthy.
Our mission is simple and purposeful: To fulfill Dave’s hopes and desires by assisting and supporting families who are dealing with a sick and hospitalized loved one.

Being we are not a Registered Charity at this time, we have the opportunity to direct funds raised over the course of the year to established Registered Charitable organizations that we deem align well with our mission and purpose. This ensures that all donations are tax deductible.
